I'm exhausted, 3 months of working in A&E has really taken it's toll - you basically live for the day whilst working in A&E and I will be glad once it's over. I was received a letter in my pigeon hole yesterday which comprised a card of thanks from a patient and his wife who I saw a few weeks ago, they thanked all the staff who looked after the patient - and although there were no specific names mentioned in this card, it's these gestures which remind me why I did medicine. It reminded me I was there to help and make people feel better. I was never in the job to be thanked but when you are it really means a lot.

It feels life has come to a stall over the last few months, seeing so many people move on with their lives, I question if all this is worth it.

Off to Morocco next week, definitely need some time to chill and look ahead.

It's been so long since I last updated. There's so much I want to write and say but some things hold me back. 2009 has been an eventful one - with highs and lows, more recently some big lows. The coming few months will prove to be challenging - I really need gather myself together and get on with everything.

I've been a Dr for 2 years now, time really flies, and tomorrow marks a new chapter.

Looking back at this year, it has been pretty intense. I feel at times, I've not given myself enough time to reflect on things and on decisions I have had to made. As a result, I don't know if I have made the right decisions regarding the next step in my career. Time will tell but nevertheless I'll try and give 100% in everything I do.

A lot of close friends will also be leaving soon, it's hard but I guess it shows everyone is striving for their futures and doing what they feel is right for them right now and wish them all the best. Feels kind of empty around here, but life moves on.

Recently went to HK, really enjoyed my time there despite the short duration. One day perhaps I can go back and perhaps settle, we'll see.

It's been a long time since my last post. I think I'll try and keep this up.
